Compare scope before comparing a quotation total

Look at what is included, how the item is identified and which commercial details remain open.

01

Check that the quoted items match

A complete assembly and a bare component are not the same scope. Compare the reference, quantity, condition and included accessories before comparing the total. Ask for clarification when the quotation uses a description that differs from your request.

  • Reference and revision
  • Quantity and unit
  • Assembly contents and condition
02

Read the open conditions

Distinguish confirmed availability from an offer that still needs a source or production check. Keep dispatch timing separate from transit estimates. Where inspection records, documents or additional packing are needed, check whether those items are included or require a separate agreement.

  • Availability status
  • Dispatch timing and transport estimate
  • Inspection, documents and packing scope
03

Return a short clarification list

Keep unanswered points tied to the quotation line. A short list of differences is easier to resolve than several overlapping messages. The aim is a clear written scope accepted by both sides, not simply the longest quotation document.
